Harbor Point Property Services LLC (“Harbor Point,” “we”) is a home-management company in Maine. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), property type, the town your property is in, and your message.
- Information about your home, if you become a client. To manage a property we keep a property record: its address, systems and equipment, tanks, service history, access instructions, the vendors you use, and the bills you ask us to handle.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our host and security tools record basic technical details such as IP address, browser type and the pages visited, to keep the site running and protect it from attacks.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit; Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and tell you whether your home is in our service area.
- To provide the services you sign up for: coordinating repairs and vendors, arranging fuel, visiting and inspecting your home, monitoring, and paying the bills you ask us to pay.
- To send you visit reports, statements and messages about your account.
- To keep our records, meet legal and tax requirements, and keep the website secure.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We share it only:
- With the contractors, fuel suppliers and other vendors we arrange for your home, and only what they need to do the job.
- With service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, analytics provider and accounting software.
- With others when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
How we keep it and for how long
Messages from our contact form are emailed to us and saved in our website’s database. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure. We keep inquiries as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as you’re a client and as long afterward as our legal, tax and insurance obligations require.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it, unless we’re required to keep it. Email us and we’ll take care of it.
Children
This website is meant for homeowners and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
